Studying the NVQ level 3 Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Practice, candidates will develop their knowledge and practice the skills required to manage regular workplace duties from an occupational health and safety perspective.
The aim of this NVQ certificate course is to improve the basic SHE knowledge, understanding and skills of employees.
The NVQ L3 is assessed based on your day-to-day working tasks within your role – this is known as “on-the-job training”.
Evidence collected in the past 2 years can be submitted towards your NVQ certification. There is no treading over old ground, just pull-up your historic records and connect with your NVQ assessor to check what is suitable. This means you can save time and use your existing documents towards the qualification.

Continue working in your current job-role, collect and submit documents used as part of your job electronically to a central online NVQ portfolio.
There are 6 mandatory units you must study and choose at least 2 of 4 optional units.
This qualification is approved for candidates aged 19 and over. Although there are no other formal entry requirements to enrol onto the qualification, as a provider SHEilds must carry out an initial assessment of a potential candidates skills and knowledge before they are permitted to enrol. This aids to identify any gaps and to plan the assessment.
Therefore our ProQual NVQ training courses have Eligibility Criteria, which should be met before a candidate can enrol to undertake the qualification.
Essentially there are 3 steps to passing this NVQ Level 3 in OHS qualification.
Certificate Delivery
Finally once your work has been checked and passed, you’ll receive a certificate as proof you have passed the NVQ level 3 course in occupational health and safety practice. We will arrange for your certificate to be posted to you at an address of your choosing.
